  3. In the same skillet, add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until fragrant. Add the meat pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Add the yogurt, biryani masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the meat with the spices. Cook for a few minutes until the meat is tender and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  5. In the large pot used to cook the rice, layer half of the partially cooked rice at the bottom. Sprinkle half of the saffron milk and half of the fried onions over the rice.
  6. Spread the cooked meat evenly over the rice layer. Top it with the remaining rice. Drizzle the remaining saffron milk and fried onions over the rice.
  7. Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and place it over low heat. Cook for 20-25 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the rice to fully cook and absorb the aromas.
  8. Once done, gently fluff the rice with a fork, mixing the layers together. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
